Lyz graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Halifax, Nova Scotia and is certified as an internationally Registered Holistic Nutritional Consultant.She also became certified as a Natural Foods Chef at The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts in New York City, NY.
Her education focused on using whole foods, and a nutritionally healthy approach in converting traditional French cuisine. Lyz has worked internationally in San Francisco and Australia as well as in Halifax. Her specialties include vegetarian, vegan, raw/living foods, gluten free, Ayurvedic, reduced salt/sugar, macrobiotic, and world cuisine.
Chef Lyz channels inspiration from international landscapes, and dreams of sun ripened fruits and vegetables off the coasts of the Mediterranean. In her past life she may have been a nomadic explorer on the spice route tasting every new artisanal offering along the way. This imagery of piquant flavour bursting from all angles is the muse of her cooking spirit.
